Er...can you explain this a bit more thoroughly? I fail to see what laws I break on a daily basis aside from anti-piracy laws and jaywalking. What laws do I break simply by existing?
You enumerated them yourself. Or you hold an opinion contrary to the status quo. All the current administration has to do is drop the word "terrorist", and you're locked in prison with no legal council for an indefinite period of time. Tax evader. Harboring those who would harm the US. Make up a reason. That's why the current government could incarcerate you at will, indefinitely, without council, without enumerating the charges leveled against you, and without telling anyone your current location.

No, it doesn't. You of all Repub brainwashed lemmings should realize this. Reagan taught us this. You simply make the cost so high that the common man no longer hears the shrieking of the cleric. All they see is the bleak, inevitable reality of a tombstone, and the pain and suffering that will be heaped upon the survivors. Then we've not convinced them that all hope is lost. We need to be harder, colder, darker. You can thank the MSM for some of this. If we stopped weeping over 3,000 dead troops and started saying, "Oh well. We've lost 3,000 and they've lost a few hundred thousand. Send in another legion," they would eventually collapse under the weight.

Nothing gives "common folk" more hope than having freedom to live the life they want, regardless of what their clerics tell them... We need to get all TV stations in there, internet pawn, everything!

You're not understanding. You improve their lot in life slowly. You build infrastructure, medical, education. Simultaneously, you crush any and all dissent with the ugliest boot you own. Carrot. And. Stick. This is how Rome built itself. This is how you build allies instead of terrorist hotbeds. The force multiplier that is guerilla warfare means nothing when you decimate the locals. (In the literal sense. Decimate = to eliminate one tenth.) This is especially effective if you separate the builder from the attacker.
They see life improving in bits and pieces at the hand of the occupier, and every terrorist attack results in the deaths of hundreds. The Army Corps of Engineers is handing out water, but when AQI attacks, the Black Guard burn the neighborhood down. They see that if they embrace change that they will gain, and that those who don't lose. They'll start selling out their neighbors in the interest of self preservation and furthering themselves.
If you're gonna pretend you're a hardcore conservative, think like a real one. Spouting this neo-con BS cheapens yourself. Man up or shut up.
